In the Three years that the CVP has been in existence, we have accomplished a great deal. We are affiliated with the sexual assault care center and have a new Elder abuse program.
New York State has a new Stalking Law that has enabled us to found a four County Antistalking task force to help better serve victims. The Task Force includes advocates, survivors, DA's office, Law enforcement (both State & Local) Representatives from the Department of Justice, The FBI and the NYS Crime Victims Board also sit in. We have also started a Crisis intervention Team to help with the community when disaster strikes. We have 20 perfessionals who have been trained in the Jeff Mitchell Course and it has been redefined towards community. |
