Dear Safe Horizon Forum, I am writting to you with a concern of great importance where a woman is using your services in bad faith and only to protect her actions of illegaly retaining our son and leaving w\him out of state against a New York court order not to leave without the courts permission. Months are passing and several court appearances gone by w\o her appearance due to her claim of being abused (which is unsupported and not true). And due to the fact she is very good (w\ years of theatrical training) at convincing one of the staff attorneys to help defend her unethical actions. Please let me know by directing me in the right direction of a contact person whom I can have this matter look into, so as not to lose custody battle, which it's litteraly becoming. He hasn't got the wrong forum.
Men like this have very little assistance and desperatly seek it wherever they can find it.

there's an Australian Counselling service called DIDs Dads in Distress over here but it's more suicide counselling.

Despite that it may have the number of a laywer in New York.

I've also heard of one very expensive divorce specialist laywer called "Captain Divorce" who may have a web site.

Fact is Jade, anybodys help, including your's is a great help to guys like this.

Help is limited, access to that help is more limited still.

Thanks 4 the input - Although now I am in the middle of two custody cortrooms - One in Chicago (where she's living @her moms and where she filled for custody herself -on which I am to appear in July 2006, and a New York court to which she's not single one time appeared (mainly due to her false defense lawyer representation/ OUR hard earned tax$$ PAY for (for people that are truly in need of) - "I am still hanging on, but its getting frustrating". Thank you everyone

I will forward you a referral for assistance in New York at least. I have no trusted personal contacts in Chicago at this time but there is a possiblity that someone knowledgable in New York can help and possibly may have some contacts in Chicago that I do not.

I see that you were referred some one to contact, but my first thoughts when reading your initial post is how come the NY judge did not issue a contempt citation for the repeated no shows? I can't think of one judge that would allow that to continue to happen in his/her courtroom.

Yes, Thanks for noticing, months are going by and guess now I should be gratefull just to be able to go to CHicago every two weeks for a two hour visit of my now 9month old son. As far as the judge (Referee) McGrady in Queens family court -she was more concerned as to comply with Safe Horizon(the defendents wrongfully retained attorney) that all it took was just an appearance in my defence in CHicago court for her to throw the case out on basis of JURISDICTION! -where to remind you he was born in Brooklyn,has lived (and 1 of his parents) still resides here in Ny -as per UCJEA -untill his 3rd week when she wrongfully retained him and left to Chicago. Anyway I am still in courts now in Cicago and NY appeal -which SAFE Horizon is still involved in on her behalf w/o any basis nor evidence for need of their defence.
